Hey folks! The #RyersonSA Fall Summit was held Wednesday, October 10th, in the Ramada Plaza Ballroom. The day offered an opportunity for #RyersonSA teams to share presentations about their work with the larger team. It also provided an in depth learning opportunity focused on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. This was facilitated through two presentations – in the morning we saw Anushay Irfan Khan’s “The Denial of Difference: Race, Racism and Resistance in Student Affairs.” In the afternoon we saw Sania Hameed’s “Colour Me Shocked: Student Affairs’ Racial Diversity Problem” as well as a team discussion session.
We are pleased to provide access to video of the event for anyone who missed it, who wasn’t able to be present throughout the entire event, or who wants to revisit themes from the day. The link below provides access to the opening of the day and team presentations in part 1, Anushay’s talk in part 2 and Sania’s talk in part 3. (Please note that Sania’s slides aren’t filmed since her research is not yet complete/ she asked that no photos be taken.)
